Google Search Ads
Google search ads are online ads that appear next to the search engine result page when users search for a keyword query on Google. These ads are PPC, or pay per click, where advertisers pay per click. Google's PPC search ads are managed by Google's AdWords advertising platform, which allows advertisers to bounce keywords, write ad text, set budgets, and more. In order to advertise in Google AdWords, you will need to create a Google AdWords Account.
AdWords Ads
AdWords ads are online ads created within the Google AdWords advertising platform, which is exactly the same as Google search ads.
PPC ads, meaning ads paid for each click, are ads where advertising costs are determined by the number of clicks the ad receives. AdWords and Bing ads both use an individual payment model.
Bing Ads
Bing Ads are similar to Google ads because they work with each payment. Advertisers may also manage their ads through the Bing Ads service, formerly known as Microsoft adCenter. You can start by creating Bing Ads here once you have a Bing Ads Account.
Facebook ads
Facebook ads come in many forms, each offering its pros and cons to advertisers who want to market on Facebook. To learn all about Facebook advertising, read our Facebook Marketing blog posts, or check out our list of 45 Facebook Marketing Tips.
Twitter ads
Twitter ads refer to paid promotions that brands can use on Twitter to increase access to their tweets, promote a selected hashtag, or gain more followers.
Promoted Tweets allow advertisers' tweets to reach more people in their homes, and provide a host of healthy targeting options. Twitter ads also include Promoted Accounts, allowing advertisers to appear more often in the Twitter to Who to Follow feature. Promoted Trends find your custom hashtag in the Trends bar, get extra attention and notification from Twitterverse. If you want to advertise on Twitter, check out these Twitter ad examples.
